As a Scot living in Scotland I have enjoyed the great outdoors from an early age and my love of landscape photography grew naturally from that. I am fortunate to live in a country which has such a variety of fine landscape subjects and I welcome the seasonal changes and the photographic challenges they present. Photography has also taken me to some inspiring locations abroad and I particularly enjoy visiting colder climes where the landscape is enhanced by snow and ice.
My photographic achievements include a Masters Award from the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB), an Associateship from the Royal Photographic Society and awards and medals from The Federation Internationale de l’Art Photographique, The Photographic Society of America, The Scottish Photographic Federation and The Irish Photographic Federation. I am a triple award winner in the Scottish Nature Photography Awards, runner up in the 2016 Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year, Sea and Coast category and an award winner in the World Landscape Photographer competition. In addition, several of my images have been shortlisted and commended in the UK Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards.
