Simplicity

The French writer Antoine de Saint- Exupéry said "Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away". I believe this to be very relevant when composing a landscape photograph as less is often more. The images in this section contain few elements arranged in a simple way and are examples a more minimalist style which I have come to favour in recent years. Often this approach is enhanced by the presence of snow or mist, by the use of long exposures or by seeking out a more limited colour or tonal palette.
